About Us

“We started as a family business almost 40 years ago and have been taking school photographs in the north-east ever since. We reckon we must have taken well over half a million school photos in our time!!”

Working out of her studio in Ponteland, Michelle Robertson runs the business along with her siblings and retired father.

“Having been a teacher myself, I understand the need for photo day to run smoothly and appreciate the importance of providing a fast, efficient service. There are always days where rooms are double booked, trips aren’t in the diary, a sickness bug is rampaging… it’s all just part of normal school life!”

Most schools we visit have been Tynephoto customers for many years. We have a friendly relationship with staff and will do our utmost to ensure a seemless service. They are all happy to give recommendations and sing our praises!

Unlike many of the larger companies, we don’t offer complicated sales pitches and long-binding contracts. Instead we rely on the quality of our photography and great customer service.
